Medical Mission – A Great Service

To achieve a goal one must give effort. To go the distance one must continue the walks in life and never yield. Same with rendering services one must know his endeavor and the reason why he is doing such action.

Service is a work done by one person or groups of person that benefits another and it is also an act of help or assistance. There are many forms of service as well as its kinds. It can be done with pay or free. Nowadays, you can seldom see a service that is done for free except if the reason is to earn publicity. But no, there are still people and groups of people who are rendering services voluntarily without asking for any payment.

NGOs or non-governmental organizations are non-profit service-oriented/development oriented organizations that are established to achieve a goal and that is to help the less fortunate people in deprived communities around the world through philanthropic services and to uplift the lives of these people through the spirit of charity. Usually, what they do is they go to the place and identify what are the needs of the poor community dwellers and provide those needs for free. You may ask this question, “How can they do such kind acts?” Well, the answer is under your nose. These philanthropic groups have volunteers that are helping them in fulfilling their mission and vision statements. Thanks to the volunteers!
In reality, there are many non-governmental organizations around the world and up to now there numbers are still increasing as well as its volunteers in spite of the global problems happening around. As mentioned, they do philanthropic services to those people who are in need. Particularly, most of the NGOs focused in performing medical mission and other health related services to the people who belongs to poor communities. They have volunteer doctors and other health officials with them to do the services so they are confident that they can really give a good help to the people. Aside from medical mission, they also conduct trainings and symposiums that will educate the people of poor communities about the importance of health, livelihood perspectives and the most important of all, life.

These non-governmental organizations are the replica of God’s great love to his people. We should be proud that we have these philanthropists. Thanks to them. Thanks to their great service!
